On GenAI, LLMs, and the future of technology
If there’s one guy you don’t want GenAI advice from, it’s this guy.

Since every leader and their sprinkler is waxing eloquent about AI on LinkedIn, I’ll spare you my own “thoughts.”
I predominantly use Gemini, but I also have typingmind, with APi subscription to OpenRouter, so I can try other models on a need-basis.
A sample of things I do:
- a “Home” Gem that helps me with garage organization, washing windows, decoding my network setup, optimizing my smart home, assembly, car maintenance and diagnostics and more. It’s been very helpful. The Gem contains basic details about my home and various things in it, so it has context to craft the responses.
- Using gemini-cli to vibe code sites, build scripts, help proofread some of my writing and so on.
- At work I use a combination of tools to craft mockups, review narratives, brainstorm ideas, write scripts to process data etc.
My rubric is simple: if I have a problem to solve, then I try to find the right tool to solve it. Sometimes it’s AI, and sometimes, it’s not.
